About “The Card Woman”
Life is a journey, or so I am told. And I have had my share of adventures over the years. But did I ever imagine that I would be sitting here today writing a blog? Definitely not. While I don’t feel quite comfortable airing my life story on the internet (not yet anyway), here is what is important to me:
1. Family. I am a wife and grandmother and I can’t think of anything I would rather do than spend time with my five grandchildren. I am also the proud mother of two four-legged children, Daisy and Rusty.
2. Health and Exercise. I have been eating healthy for years and work out nearly everyday. My favorite activities are cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking, biking, and ice skating in the summer.
3. Success. Who doesn’t want to achieve success in their life? After tiring from the long hours of nursing, I decided to venture into a new business on the side to see if a career move was possible. After only a few years, lifestyle marketing has enabled me to quit the 9 to 5 rat race and still attain success. Even better, I now have more time to spend with my grandchildren.
4. Scrapbooking. This probably relates back to family, but I love using Scrapbooking as a creative outlet to document life’s joys.
About this Blog
As I mentioned, I discovered how I can earn a living and help people stay in touch with a card business. I am eager to share stories of how simple greeting cards can unite families, rekindle friendships and help business relationships thrive.
Can a greeting card change the world? Of course not. But it can put a smile on someone’s face. This blog is all about those smiles, and perhaps a few tears. My mission is to send a card, though my business, each week and blog about it hoping that more of you will take the time to send your own smiles.
This blog also gives me an opportunity to publicize my business. My business goal is to help a million people become card senders – so I definitely need to spread the word!
